As a 25-year digital media, film and TV veteran, I have led pioneering
teams and projects in the new media arena, pushing the limits of the
interactive experience. I found effective ways to use video and audio in
computer-based training and non-fiction entertainment CD-ROMs for
companies like IBM, Mitsubishi and The Smithsonian Institute.
In 1993 was brought in to lead the digital production studio for Discovery
Enterprises Worldwide (DEW) where my team produced 25 consumer
brand-extending CD-ROM titles with companion websites, books, and
merchandise. We built experiences for Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal
Planet, Discovery Kids, Discovery Health, Travel Channel, and DCI’s global
sites.
Leaving DEW to work on a special project for Discovery founder John
Hendricks, I developed and produced Discovery’s first venture in the
interactive gaming arena, "Planet Explorer: Byzantine the Betrayal." This
photo real 3-D adventure game and Discovery Channel TV Special was
filmed and produced in Istanbul. It also included the web’s first 360-
degree photo real episodic adventure game, "Selam: The Secret
Language."
I am well versed in interactive strategy, broadband and online
applications, having launched and managed the Travel Channel’s companion
site Travelchannel.com and helped lead National Geographic's video for
the web strategy. I am currently managing the Department of Health
and Human Services (HHS) broadband focused health network.
My responsibilities throughout my career have included creating engaging
content; managing business objectives while balancing creative staffs;
recruiting and qualifying “A” level vendors and overseeing contracts and
rights issues. I have worldwide production experience as well as the
management and client skills it takes to further the your brand.
